Crude alongside an unnammed group approached VW McCarthy Menlyn to create their marketing collateral for either print or online based work. They indeed had a project in line for us, to showcase our creativity and efficiency. They had, at the time, the T-Cross model coming out. Which is a hybrid model. For young professionals, it is sleek, modern and comfortable.
In the first concept, #IAMMORE. The tag line exists within the brand already, Using this as a reference for both taglines (including #MORETHAN1THING) concepts and taglines.
Imagine young professionals, students and well earning interns. Individuals born between the cusp of the olden days and the modern times. Imbued with high social ideals and reforming of the past. Such a group has the mental capacity, the academic resources and the social platforms to make these reforms. VW McCARTHY we concluded, through their existing marketing, that they are going for a cool contemporary feel. Considering their use of the model/influencer Cara Delevingne. Of further note, the car is a cross over between an SUV and a Polo thus further accentuating it’s audience with young ‘fresh’ adults, along themes of adaptability, safety, convenience and ambiguity #IAMMORE. Even more so ‘power’, ‘freshness’ and ‘dynamism’ through the two contrasting representations of her.
